Live Public Webinars
Let's Talk - Time with Teepa and You
These sessions are designed to provide a safe place where anyone living with dementia can come and share time with Teepa, if they choose.
This is an open forum for successes, celebrations, frustrations, challenges, and problem solving is what we hope to offer one another.
For her part, Teepa may ask for help or seek information, as well as contribute what she can.
The sessions are open to all who are living with some form of brain change that is affecting their life and ability to live it as they previously had.
Only people living with some form of neurodegenerative changes are invited to attend, although if a care partner is needed for support and communication enhancement, that person would be welcomed as a supporter.
Teepa believes that self-advocacy, when one is able to do so, is extremely effective and important. She also knows that this condition can rob people of the socially expected interaction and communication skills.
This is a space and place where getting the message is what counts, not how it is delivered. Collaborating for culture change is critical if we hope to address the human rights issues that are being violated on a routine basis when someone is living with dementia.
The goal of the program is to make sure each person who is living with dementia has an opportunity to provide Teepa and members of her service team with input, feedback, ideas, questions, or reactions. At PAC, we will do our best to make sure these perspectives are shared forward, in a way the helps promote practical change for living life with dementia, if possible.
All sessions will be run using ZOOM, a free international internet meeting service that can be used on a smart phone, tablet, or computer.
If anyone is concerned about person information being shared, please connect with Corrie Phillips prior to attending for options and pre-planning for comfort.
