Noticing Skill Use Changes

A look at the complexities of skill change and how it affects people living with dementia. Understanding the difference between: I don’t want to anymore, I can’t anymore, I can when I want to, but I don’t want to right now. Learning to not assume laziness, lack of effort, or unwillingness, all while finding the balance of being supportive and challenging an individual, but staying within their limits and not being too pushy.
