Tamara Turner is an Assistant Professor and Assistant Clinical Coordinator for Midwestern University’s Occupational Therapy Program in Glendale, Arizona. She received an ASA in health sciences from Ricks College, an A.A.S. in occupational therapy assisting from Harcum College, an M.S. in occupational therapy from Belmont University, and an Ed.D. in higher and post-secondary education at Argosy University. Dr. Turner’s clinical experience in occupational therapy began in 2001. She has worked in acute and sub-acute rehabilitation, geriatrics, out-patient neurology, and home health. Dr. Turner began her academic career in 2012 at an occupational therapy assistant program and joined Midwestern University’s Occupational Therapy Program in 2015. Dr. Turner is a recipient of the Hospice of the Valley 2018 Dementia Care Fellowship. Dr. Turner has been a member of the World Federation of Occupational Therapists, American Occupational Therapy Association, and her respective state associations since 1998. She currently serves on the board of the Arizona Occupational Therapy Association as Vice President.
