Online Care Partner Support Series – Five Weekly Sessions Beginning Nov 5, 2020 – Dec 10, 2020

Are you looking for an educational forum where you can gain awareness and knowledge of care strategies to help you provide better care for a loved one or friend living with dementia?

Positive Approach® to Care is now offering the Care Partner Support Series – Five Sessions to Change, to educate and connect caregivers of a person living with dementia through a webinar format. Led by Positive Approach Certified Consultants and Trainers, the series will run for five 90-minute weekly sessions. (Dates subject to change or modification.)

Teepa Snow videos, filmed at the Lewis-Mason-Thurston Area Agency on Aging, will be viewed in each session to generate awareness, provide knowledge, and stimulate discussion. The series is progressive and includes such topics as Facing Dementia, Skills and Coping, The Long Haul, Taking Stock – Taking Care of You, and Putting it All Together.

The series is conducted using a virtual meeting room. We will be able to see and talk with each other – almost like being in person, but you get to keep your slippers on if you like!

What participants need: Ability and commitment to participate in ALL five sessions, a quiet room, computer/laptop/mobile device with a microphone and camera, and internet and email access. All participants will be asked to attend a short orientation a few days prior to the first session in order to work through any technical challenges.

Fee: $50.00 – includes all five sessions as well as materials to download and print.

Session dates for this series: 5 Thursdays beginning 11/5/20 and ending 12/10/20, 7:00pm – 8:30pm EDT

**Please Note: This series skips Thursday, November 26th (Thanksgiving) and resumes on December 3rd.
