CE Information


The following information is required from our continuing education providers.  Not every course or service is CE approved. Please check your event for individual CE opportunities. 

Nursing Home Administrators and Long Term care License holders

Select Trainer and Coach Certification Courses have been approved for Continuing Education for 11 (three-day virtual course). Please refer to event page to verify that the date of your course is NAB-approved.

Social Workers

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) is entitled to award continuing education credit for Social Workers. Please visit CES CE CREDIT to see all states that are covered for Social Workers. CES maintains responsibility for this program and its content. Social Workers completing this program will receive: ∙7 hours* for completion of the online course Seeing it from the Other Side; ∙12 hrs* for clinical hours of continuing education credit for 2 day Certification Courses (Trainer, Coach, and Consultant); ∙11 hrs* for 3 day Certification Courses (Trainer, Coach, and Consultant). *CEs not available for Social Workers in HI, NV, NJ, OH and OK.

Nurses

As an American Psychological Association approved provider CES programs are accepted by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Every state Board of Nursing accepts ANCC approved programs except California and Iowa, however CES is also an approved Continuing Education provider by the California Board of Registered Nursing, (Provider Number CEP15567) which is also accepted by the Iowa Board of Nursing. Nurses completing this program receive: ∙7 hours for completion of the online course Seeing it from the Other Side; ∙12 hrs for clinical hours of continuing education credit for 2 day Certification Courses;(Trainer, Coach, and Consultant); ∙11 hrs for 3 day Certification Courses (Trainer, Coach, and Consultant).

Grievance Policy

Commonwealth Educational Seminars (CES) seeks to ensure equitable treatment of every person and to make every attempt to resolve grievances in a fair manner. Please submit a written grievance to CES, 1020 Osterville West Barnstable Rd, Marstons Mills, MA 02648. Grievances will initially be directed to the training instructor. Grievances would receive, to the best of our ability, corrective action in order to prevent further problems. If you have questions or concerns, contact Commonwealth Educational Seminars at (800) 376-3345. It is the participant's responsibility to check with their individual state boards to verify CE requirements for their state.

PAC Certification Courses (Trainer, Coach, and Consultant)

  • CEs approved, see below for details
    • 2 Day:
      • 9am-4:30pm in the given Time Zone (7.5 hours)
      • 1 hour for lunch at 12pm and additional wellness breaks provided
      • 19 CEs available to nurses and social workers: 7 CEs provided for online pre course work plus 12 CEs provided for two-day course
      • 12 CEs available for long-term care administrators (must have account with NAB)
    • 3 Day:
      • 4 hours per day offered in the Eastern Time Zone (please calculate to your time zone)
      • Short wellness breaks provided
      • 18 CEs available to nurses and social workers: 7 CEs provided for online pre course work plus 11 CEs provided for three-day course
      • 11 CEs available for long-term care administrators (must have account with NAB)
