Too Much PAC?

Whether you are a long-time Teepa fan, well versed in Positive Approach® to Care (PAC), or just getting to know PAC, one thing you probably noticed is that we offer so many different services, products, and resources that it can be overwhelming to figure out where to start or what to explore next.

If you are just getting to know PAC, here are a couple of simple things to help get you started:

  • Sign up for our free monthly Online Dementia Journal- If you’re reading this, odds are you’re already on our list, but if not, please sign up here and select which types of emails you prefer to receive.
  • Purchase Teepa’s Dementia Caregiver Guide, a practical, easy-to-use resource that features Teepa’s GEMS® State Model, the benefits of Positive Approach to Care techniques, and how care partners can focus on remaining abilities to create more positive and productive care interactions. Click here to learn more.

For those of you who have been connected to Teepa and PAC for a while, perhaps check out some of our newer resources now that your awareness has grown into knowledge and skill!

  • The GEMS State Tool is one of our newer in-the-moment resources that will help you understand and observe what a person living with dementia is experiencing and can still do with their retained abilities. That awareness will also guide your choice of an effective support response and facilitate communication with other members of your care support team.
  • Teepa’s Clips is a low-cost subscription service that gives you online access to a growing collection of essential and practical dementia care video clips of 20 minutes or less each. Sign up for a free trial here.

I hope these suggestions will help you take the first step, or next steps on your journey while deepening your connection to PAC as we all strive to create a more positive dementia care culture.
