Happy Holidays! Well, let’s hope so. We know that holidays can be challenging for some, even when dementia isn’t part of the picture, and even more so when it is. This month, we speak with our dear friends Mark and Brenda Roberts who have managed to create a space, routines, and some rituals that support family fun for all during the holiday season. Enjoy their ideas, wisdom, and you might even find some new traditions to add to your holiday gatherings.

Mark and Brenda Roberts live in Michigan in their dementia friendly home. Mark was diagnosed with vascular dementia in 2014. Mark serves on the board of directors of the National Council of Dementia Minds and Brenda serves as the executive director. Both are active advocates and dementia educators.
