It's Never Too Late

It's Never 2 Late's computer systems have opened up possibilities for tens of thousands of seniors across the country. Exploring the Internet, sending and receiving email, and sharing digital photos are examples of the ways the computer systems are used.

Simple C

Our mission is to offer a non-drug alternative to respond to changes in memory. We focus on practical, scalable, repeatable, person-centered solutions, while engaging individuals, families, and caregivers. We envision that our blend of technology, person-centered approach, and basis in science will be the first choice to support our seniors in their day and throughout the years. We see our solution supporting seniors with normal age-related changes in cognition so they can longer live independently. Being person-centered means that our solution adapts to individual changes in cognition over time. It also easily moves to different living arrangements and can become a companion across the life-span. Our solution aims to support the activities of daily living, increase functionality and level of activity, provide cognitive training, enhance a sense of community, and allow each person to continue sharing their life story and interest.

The SimpleC Companion™ is an intuitive touch-screen application that promotes memory, engagement, and better communication for seniors.

The Benefits of Weighted Blankets for Alzheimer’s Disease

The onset of an individual’s Alzheimer’s disease can be a difficult time for the entire family. Typically, the deterioration of the afflicted becomes noticeable when they begin repeating themselves, forget to perform everyday tasks, and have trouble putting names and faces of family members together.

Most common in people over 65 years old, the dementia can cause mood swings, confusion, and stress. While the disease is currently incurable, as a caregiver you can help the sufferer feel comfortable and secure.

Giving the patient a Mosaic Weighted Blanket® provides comfort through the naturally pleasant feeling of being held. Many have described the added weight in our blankets as feeling like a hug. Being able to give your loved one a “hug,” even if you aren’t there physically, will help the afflicted person relax through the transition.

Often as dementia progresses, insomnia can become an issue. Sleeping for one or two hours during the night, then awakening only to wander around the house, is a common experience. Sometimes even medications can cause sleep disturbances for the ill.

Whatever the reason, those with Alzheimer’s disease benefit from the sleep-inducing qualities of a Mosaic Weighted Blanket®. Weighted enough to give deep pressure touch stimulation without being too heavy to remove on their own, Mosaic Weighted Blankets® may assist with a full night’s rest for the individual and peace of mind for caregivers.

Care Zips

After watching Caregivers struggle to change clothing and seeing the discomfort the process caused to my parent, I thought surely there is a more efficient and more compassionate solution to address adult incontinence.

CareZips® pants are:

  • The unisex three-zippered construction (patent pending) allows for quick and easy full-frontal opening from waist down to the knees giving wider access to change an adult brief.
  • Two-side zippers from waist to knee and the strategically placed 3rd zipper from inside one knee all the way up and down to the other inside knee create access unlike any other pants.
  • The two side zippers are sewn forward away from the hip bone to avoid rolling onto a zipper pull. Two small snaps are at the top of each side zipper.
  • Legs are slightly tapered for style and to prevent dragging.
  • Durable for home laundry.
  • Fabric is soft, yet an athletic feel - 7% spandex, 21% rayon and 72% polyester.
