Kathy is a Dementia Training Specialist and Certified Positive Approach™ to Care Certified Trainer, Mentor and Speaker.  She earned her BA (1974) and MA (1975) from Montclair State University NJ(formerly College).

Kathy has held leadership roles in the assisted living industry as both an executive director and resident relations director.  She served as the Program Director for the Alzheimer’s Association Georgia Chapter (Augusta) for over 8 years. As Program Director she was responsible for dementia training for professionals and family caregivers as well as all Alzheimer’s and dementia programming in a seventeen county region.  Kathy has over 30 years’ experience in the area of gerontology and has also provided care to a variety of personal friends and family members with various dementias.   She currently provides consulting services and trainings in the area of dementia. 

Kathy is the 2013 Columbia County (GA) Chamber Business Woman of the Year.  Her volunteer leadership roles include Assistant Governor Rotary District 6920 2012-2015; Past President, Augusta West Rotary Club; District 6920 Chair 2010-2016 Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust; as well as serves on the Executive Board 2015-17 Coins for Alzheimer’s Research Trust.
